Healthy = Scrapple?

Have you ever heard of Hatfield Quality Meats? Did you know that their healthiest product is scrapple?
That’s one of the things I learned at a recent MMA Stewardship University at Lancaster Mennonite School. I went to a seminar led by Phil Clemens, chief executive officer of Clemens Family Corporation (who owns Hatfield Quality Meats). And besides telling us about the nutritional value of scrapple, he also talked about “Giving with the End in Mind.” He used the parable of the talents to relate to how charitable giving shapes his family business as well as him personally.
Granted, that tidbit about scrapple wasn’t Mr. Clemens’ main focus for his seminar. But it’s an example of how Stewardship University has a wide variety of topics to appeal to people with different interests – including stewardship of health, time, and the environment. There was definitely something there for everyone. If you hear of a Stewardship University hosted by MMA going on in your area, check it out!
