Talent Show

When I go to a talent show or recital, I’m always amazed at the different things people can do! Whether it is playing a piano piece with one hand or coming up with a comedy act, I am always blown away by the various talents. Sometimes I even find myself wishing I could have the talents that are being performed on stage!

As I picture myself unrealistically becoming a concert pianist, God reminds me that I have my own talents. We can’t all possess every talent, but we can recognize and practice our own talents in order to use them the best way we can to honor and serve God.

I sometimes find it hard to be content with my talents when I see other people’s talents perfected and publicly displayed. But, not all talents are performed on a stage. My challenge to you is to discover the talents God has given you and to not be ashamed of them. Practice them and put them to good use!
