The Root of All Happiness

Researchers are at it again. The Associated Press and MTV researched what makes Generation Y happy. Part of their research mentioned that we, today’s youth and young adults, are generally happy, so they wanted to figure out what was the cause of this happiness.

Their research showed that teens find happiness in friendships and family relationships. I know that is true for me. According to the report, technology also seems to provide a lot of happiness for Gen Y. This doesn’t surprise me considering I heard someone refer to their new cell phone as their “new best friend.”

I was surprised that money was not listed as one of our generation’s joy bringers. In fact, the study noted that Gen Y often sees money as a stress factor.
